The Food Bank worked with the Mayne Island Firefighters Association to bring about completion of the restoration of the Old School House. Food Bank volunteers obtained a grant from Food Banks Canada and the Walmart Foundation to purchase a generator to ensure that our freezer and refrigeration units did not go down during winter power outages.
