Our motto says it all: “It’s about community”

Members of a community work together, play together, support each other and, most of all, are there for each other — not in the name of charity but as friends helping each other.

At the Mayne Island Food Bank, we see our role as a group of neighbours offering a hand-up (rather than hand-out) to our friends and neighbours.

Also, as members of the Mayne Island community, we support others in their activities just as they support us. On Mayne Island, it really is true — “It’s about community”.
